Rob was born and bred in Amsterdam. When Rob met a girl from Oamaru a move to New
Zealand became inevitable.
Rob is an avid fly fisherman on both fresh and salt water. He likes the outdoors
and enjoys an active lifestyle. Rob became a NZ citizen in 2005.
Rob brings 30 years of experience in international business, executive management,
product development, sales, marketing and leadership.
Being responsible for the technology strategy and direction Rob has been part of
the success of leading companies and innovative products. His greatest strength is
in getting products to market, on time, within budget and completed to the highest
level of customer satisfaction.
He has completed dozens of product development strategies and technology roadmaps,
and achieved hundreds or product releases.
His architectural skills and team development experience has led to cost savings and
increased customer satisfaction due to the rapid transition of bespoke products
into integrated suites of manageable solutions.
Five times Rob transitioned a project based organisation to a product based organisation,
once resulting in a successful IPO. He is awarded for achieving high growth and
profitability in a start up situation and has a track record selling software through
direct and indirect channels in the Benelux to Top1000 companies.
During his career Rob has acted in roles as Developer, Trainer, Product Manager, IT Manager,
Project Manager, Account Manager, Sales Manager, Channel Manager, Group Manager, CTO, and CEO.
Rob owns four businesses and expects the next opportunity to be just around the corner.
He is presently focusing on board level engagements, and advises several Business Owners and Executives.
Rob, his wife Jan and son Valerii live on a small farm in North Canterbury, NZ.
